SUMMARY:Penrose Tree Planting
DESCRIPTION:Come along for the day to help us plant over 8\,000 trees and create new woodland right next to Helston. Our goal for this project is to plant as many trees as we can with the help of volunteers and local people. These events are family friendly\, and we welcome everyone of any age to come and join in. You will be provided with all the tools necessary to plant a tree and our rangers and volunteer rangers will be on hand to show you how. SUMMARY:Social Walks
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to join us for a gentle walk at Penrose\, as part of our social walk series. The walks are led by volunteer walk leaders and simply offer the opportunity for anybody to join us for some fresh air and time in nature. Everyone is welcome\, of all abilities and experience. \nTuesday 30 January: This walk will start at Highburrow car park (TR13 9EU or what3words///equal.bench.presuming) and will take around 2 hours. There are no toilets available on this walk. \nFriday 9 February: This walk will start at Penrose Hill car park (TR13 0RB or what3words///tractor.albatross.equal) will take around 2 hours. This walk includes narrow paths & uneven ground. \nTuesday 13 February This walk starts at the Fairground car park (TR13 8WN or what3Words///squeaking.magnetic.fuels) and follows the fully accessible path to parkland and The Stables café\, where there are accessible toilet facilities. \n\n\n\n\nYou can find further information\, including details about accessible walks\, at nationaltrust.org.uk/penrose

As the summer starts\, more and more migrant birds will arrive and Carla and David will help you get to grips with all. No previous birding experience needed! \nNote that there are some steep paths\, which are paved. The total walk will be around 5 miles. Facilities are available both at the meeting point and about halfway. \nCome prepared for any weather in appropriate clothing and footwear\, and bring some water and lunch\, or some money to buy lunch in the village or halfway. \nAny questions or to get in touch with the organisers please email youth@bto.org. \nPlease note that this event is open to  14–24-year-olds only.
