It uses public events\, surveys and activities to engage with volunteers and members of the public to achieve its three main aims: engage people with the marine environment\, collect data on marine wildlife\, and better understand and conserve marine wildlife. \nOn the third Sunday of each month\, we run a public-friendly sea watch at different key headlands around the county. DESCRIPTION:Come along for the day to help us plant over 8\,000 trees and create new woodland right next to Helston. Our goal for this project is to plant as many trees as we can with the help of volunteers and local people. These events are family friendly\, and we welcome everyone of any age to come and join in. As the summer starts\, more and more migrant birds will arrive and Carla and David will help you get to grips with all. No previous birding experience needed! \nNote that there are some steep paths\, which are paved. The total walk will be around 5 miles. Facilities are available both at the meeting point and about halfway. \nCome prepared for any weather in appropriate clothing and footwear\, and bring some water and lunch\, or some money to buy lunch in the village or halfway. \nAny questions or to get in touch with the organisers please email youth@bto.org. \nPlease note that this event is open to  14–24-year-olds only.
